1.表示“逃走”或“逃脫”，已含有“脫離”的意思，因此通常不與away，off等副詞連用。如：

小偷逃走了。

誤：The thief has escaped away.

正：The thief has escaped.

2.下列情況，通常是不及物動詞，其后可接介詞 from：

(1)表示從具體的某一場所逃走。如：

They escaped from the burning house (prison)。他們從著火的房子里(監(jiān)獄里)逃了出來。

(2)表示液體或氣體等漏出或泄漏。如：

Some gas is escaping from the pipe.煤氣管在漏氣。

(3)表示從監(jiān)禁或管制等狀態(tài)中逃脫或逃走。如：
